My First Minox
Photos
After shooting with nothing
smaller than a Minolta 16MG, I took the plunge to Minox. These are
samples from my first ever roll of Minox film. These were taken with
a model "B", on Minocolor 100 film, and processed by MPL. Taken on a
very bright sunny day at mid-day. Seems to me I was using the built
in ND filter, and shooting at 1/500, but I couldn't swear to it. In
all, I'm satisfied but not overwhelmed. I'm anxious to try the
Minocolor Pro film, and also to get my first roll of Black and White
processed.
Photos were scanned at 100 dpi,
then "Sharpen 1" was used in my image program, and I fixed a couple
black spots on the prints, other than that, no manipulation. Comments
very welcome. E-mail link at the bottom.
All taken on Lake Superior
near the Terminal Pier public lake access in Duluth. Over the bridge
in the second and third photos is Wisconsin. (We're on the Minnesota
side).
My 16 year old daughter
dressed for Back to the 50's. Shot is late day shade 100 speed
film.
My other 16 year old
daughter. Taken in a very dimly lit barn while pumpkin shopping..
Probably around 1/50 with 100 speed film.
here's what the Minox is
for! Whipped it out of my pocket while bored to death while my wife
was trying on cosmetics. Grab shot in store. She never knew what hit
her!
